OPIC Approves Financing and Insurance for Texas Energy Company to Develop Oil and Gas Fields in Oman

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) has approved financing and insurance to PetroTel of Plano, Texas to support development of oil and gas in a developing region of Oman. OPIC, the U.S. Government’s development finance institution, has approved $300 million of financing to support the development of oil and gas fields in Oman’s Musandam peninsula, along with $150 million of insurance for the project.
